Spyros Vassiliou is the Vice-Chairman of Invest Cyprus (the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency) and the Vice-Chairman of CIFA (Cyprus Investments Funds Association). He is a law graduate from the City University of London and a member of the Cyprus Bar Association. He is the Founder of the Law Firm Spyros Vassiliou & Associates LLC with headquarters in Cyprus.
With more than 15 years of experience in both the Legal and Financial sectors, Spyros is a business-intelligent lawyer with investment-appetite decision making and priority on striving for excellence and high achievement. He provides advice to private and corporate clients, focusing on corporate & commercial law, trusts, real estate and IP rights. His law firm is also well established in cross-border commercial litigation. “professional investor” means an investor who is considered to be a professional client or may, on request, be treated as a professional client within the meaning of the Second Appendix of the Investment Services and Activities and Regulated Markets Law.
“well-informed investor” means every investor who is not a professional investor, but fulfils the following criteria:
a) The Investor confirms in writing
that he/she has sufficient knowledge and experience in financial and business matters to evaluate the merits and risks associated with the prospective investment and that he is aware of the risks associated with the prospective investment or
that his/her business activity is related to the management, acquisition, or sale of assets, either on the investor’s own account or on behalf of third parties, and are on the same type as the investments of the AIF

b) The Investor
